Bruce Krumholz embarked CB Mills on a course of adding value to our customers long ago. Under his leadership CB Mills has always made strides in bringing more value to our customers. Once again we are proud to announce that our engineering team upgraded the controls of our Dyno-Mill Small Media Mills product line to a more powerful platform.

The new controls of the Dyno-Mill series now employ the new CompactLogix system from Allen-Bradley, which is a step-up control system from SLC500 series. This modern, next generation control PLC provides much finer control over the milling process. Below are just a few of the new features and benefits for our customers:

• Graphical display of process variables
• Specific Energy is now calculated in a way that accurately reflects the energy used by the process
• The status of the machine can be determined as well as adjusted with a few simple button presses
• Rudimentary data collection is also available directly on the operator interface
• Up to 16 Maintenance timers can be defined through the PanelView Plus operator interface
• Daylight Saving Time can be handled automatically
• Three sets of engineering units (US, Metric, and Custom) are now available
• Improved security against unauthorized changes in Dyno-Mill operation (username/password based independent of the PLC)
• Included in the control package is a Remote Access EtherNet Modem
• The customer has the option of connecting a telephone line to the system to allow customer service and engineering to remotely monitor and/or fix problems without the expense of an on-site visit
